Day Twenty-Two Christmas Scripture

Christmas is a time of giving thanks to the Lord for all that He has done.  Give with love and willingly.  The Lord knows your heart if you give grudgingly or with motive.  He will in turn bless you more abundantly than you could ever imagine.  It says it in His word so it is Truth!  Take your earthly mind out of the equation and look at His word. 
Isn't this a most spectacular word? 

"Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.  You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God."
This is like food for my soul.  It excites me and gives me great hope.  He WILL supply all of your needs according to His glory and riches.  Give thanks for His love.  What an amazing gift.  Rejoice!

2 Corinthians 9:6-15

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.  Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.   And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.  As it is written:

“They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.”

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.  Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else.  And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you.   Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

Day Four Christmas Scripture

This is a good one!  I get so excited to share the word of the Lord and all it's fascination and glory.  Dig deep into this one!  Today focus on Charity.  When was the last time you gave selflessly?  Giving without expectation of receiving something back?  But did you know but giving to others freely, the Lord is so abundantly blessed by that and will reward you in His own way?  That is the joy of giving unconditionally. 
It's hard in these economic times to give freely all the time but know without a shadow of a doubt that the Lord sees it and knows your heart.  He will provide and give you the provision to provide for others if you are diligent in it.  Go forth this Christmas season and see where you can be a blessing.  Ask the Lord to show you with your own eyes or hear it with your ears where you can be a blessing to others today.  God bless you.

Matthew 25:31-40

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne.   All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.   He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.   For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,  I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?   When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?   When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’  “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
