25 Days of Christmas Scripture

What a celebration!  How was your Christmas and birthday celebration?  Are you ready for an amazing year ahead?

Thank you for joining me in our 25 days of Christmas scripture.  I encourage you to mark down some of those amazing tidbits of Word that we followed along with in the past month.  There were some pretty good verses to keep with you throughout your days.  One thing I know for sure, He loves me.  He loves me and He loves you too.  He loves you more than you can even comprehend.  Don't forget that!

I hope you enjoyed our adventure and will come back again to read some good words and please join in with your own favourites.  I pray that the Lord will bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you Today and forever.

Day Twenty-Two Christmas Scripture

Christmas is a time of giving thanks to the Lord for all that He has done.  Give with love and willingly.  The Lord knows your heart if you give grudgingly or with motive.  He will in turn bless you more abundantly than you could ever imagine.  It says it in His word so it is Truth!  Take your earthly mind out of the equation and look at His word. 
Isn't this a most spectacular word? 

"Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.  You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God."
This is like food for my soul.  It excites me and gives me great hope.  He WILL supply all of your needs according to His glory and riches.  Give thanks for His love.  What an amazing gift.  Rejoice!

2 Corinthians 9:6-15

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.  Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.   And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.  As it is written:

“They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.”

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.  Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else.  And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you.   Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

Day Twenty Christmas Scripture

Christmas is a time for Peace.  Peace within and Peace around you.  What do you do to find peace? 

Come to the Lord with your prayers and petitions and He will give you peace.  A time of year when there is supposed to be such great joy and peace, has turned into a stressful, chaotic time that we 'wish' away.  We worry about our finances, who is going to bring what for dinner, who is coming for dinner, what to buy your parent's and making sure the house is clean.  Add to that the regular 'stresses' of every day life and you have a whole ball of worry and anxiety.  Come before the Lord, talk to Him, give your worries and anxieties over to the Lord and let Him do the work.  Remember the true joy of Christmas.

Matthew 11:25-30

At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.  Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.
“All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Day Eighteen Christmas Scripture

We all need some time alone.  Young or old, that is how we develop a stronger relationship with God.  Time alone gives us good prayer time, a time to sit with yourself or sit and listen.  Sometimes we are so busy complaining or questioning God that we forget to stop and listen.  Sit in peacefulness each day over the holiday season and spend time in solitude with your Heavenly Father. 

Your relationship with God is what will get your family through the holiday season.  If it is a strong one that relies on Him for strength, love, hope, peace and self-control then He will get you through anything.  You are important too.  Things will come and go in your life over the holidays but one thing remains, His love for you so foster that relationship and nurture it.  Peace be with you.

2 Corinthians 1:3-7

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.  For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.  If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer.  And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.

Day Twelve Christmas Scripture

Along with the good of Christmas also comes the stresses.  Do you feel at the end of the day that you have completely rushed through everything just to be done?  I feel that way some days and feel terrible about doing that.  We are only given one today and can't get a do-over day. 

Don't forget your purpose through this season.  It's supposed to be a time of peace, joy, remembrance and celebration.  Through the commercialism of Christmas we have lost sight of the joy this time of year brings and the true meaning.

I always remember the story of Mary and Martha and how Mary stayed to sit at the Lord's feet listening to him.  Martha was completely distracted about what was going on around her that she got frustrated and forgot the goodness that was around her in that moment. 

Sit at His feet today and listen.  You don't even have to speak, just listen with your heart and He will talk to you.  Do not rush off, you only get this opportunity today once so enjoy it.  You are in the presence of our Lord Almighty, do not rush through it.


Luke 10:38-42
As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him.   She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said.   But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things,  but few things are needed—or indeed only one.  Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

Day Six Christmas Scripture

Hope.  Yes, today's message is about Hope.  On our Sixth day of Christmas scripture we look at John 14:1-6.  Amazing passage about knowing without a shadow of a doubt that the Lord loves you and cares for you.  He has prepared a special place just for you.  It invokes so much emotion when reading this scripture.  I have everything from peace, excitement, joy, hope and strength to keep moving forward.  He is the way.  He is the only way.  If you want to go to Heaven, you have to seek the Father first. 

As you go about your day, remember how special you are to the Lord.  Don't get down and discouraged because that is what the devil wants to steal your joy.  Do not be dismayed for the Lord is on your side and gives you a hope and a future.  Spread the joy of hope, peace and love today and always!

John 14: 1-6

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.  My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.  You know the way to the place where I am going.”  Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”  Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 

Day 3 Christmas Scripture...Greetings

Day 3 of our 25 days of Christmas scripture focuses on Greetings.  How many people will you greet this Christmas season and what is the message people will come away with from that greeting? 

When we stop and think about how we present ourselves to others we hope they will see the fruits of the spirit in us.  Will they come away from that discussion seeing the Lord's good work through you?  How can we show others the Love of the Lord in what we do and say?  Don't forget to greet others with love, peace and laughter this Christmas season.  Get in the word daily and speak the word freely to others. 

At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, where she entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth.  When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.   In a loud voice she exclaimed: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear!   But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?   As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.   Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”

And Mary said: “My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant.
From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me—holy is his name.  His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation. He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.  He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble.  He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty.  He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful to Abraham and his descendants forever, just as he promised our ancestors.”
